The recent Waive of burglairy and Vither crimes led tho Inspecitor-Gen-eral of Police to apply to the t*f" reniment for permission to increase the fiity staff by 250 men. It is proposed to introduce the sj Tstem> of night jjatrol by plain clothes officers in addition to the ordinary beats.
