THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD.
THE OLD BIG PUMP/
, At the last meeting of the Thames Drainage Board there wea*e present: The Hon. EL MRtohelsoai (chairman), and Messrs 0. Hudson, H. Gilfillau, H. Lowe, Gra;vtefj Aidkin, W. Baker, El A. Brown, H. H. Adams, ajid J. Kneebone. A communication wtas received from the Thames Borough Council stating that th© Oounpil had adopted 1 the following -resolution's: '"That the Government be approached to take over the old Big Pump pn> per'ty, to be Vested in the Ci'oww on the same conditions as those governing the Thames Hauraki shaft area.;" also, "That the Thames Borough Council solicit the cooperation of the trustees, Thaimes iCbunty Council, Waiotahi G.ML Company, and the Thames Drainage Board, in the direction of approaching the GoTSprnment in talking ovel' the property, and that th© trustees be requested to hold thie trusteeship until a reply harl N&m received fromi the Governmemt." ] Members of the Board pointed out that the Government had been approached with a vieAV to having tie regulations altered in respect to the property, and it was resolved to reply to the Council that, in the Board's opinion, tho Thames Drainage Boiard was the proper body in which the old Big Pump property should be vested, arid that the Board would take steps in that direction.
