At the annual conference of the New Somith WaOes Alliance a motion in fafvtor of amending the Liquor Act for a straight ouit vote with a simple majority to decide was negatived by 24 to 13. ' A motion favouring a reduction in the number of hours the hotels are opjen was adopted.'
