Flying Hack.—-Florence Nightin--1 gale 1, faft 2, Twina 3. . Taft and j Crown Pearl led right into the ! straight, where Taft' assumed command, and was challenged by Florence Nightingale. These two raced together to within a few yards of the post, when the little mare forgedahead and won by a length. Time, 1.20 Borough Handicap;.—Spjlalsh 1, Midnight Sun 2, Cork 3. After the start Seafcmdale led for a couple of furlongs. Then Midnight Sun went to the front, and looked all over a winner, but Splash came through and won by a good length YPime, 1.30. Scratched: Effort, Master SylVia. Shaughran, Starboard, Rjoyil r Marine, Waiouru, Queen Soots, - Re- t missness. ; . c Welter Hack.—'Plantation 1, Sir 0 Knox 2, Loch Maben 3. The hors.-js g wore wellb unched some distance a down the straight, when Plantation asserted himself, and won 'by two length. Time, 1.50 2-5.
