Rhodes, the newly ttoctod member for Thames, returned lo Goromandel this afternoon, sind received quite an ovation. A number of vehicles, headed by the Town Band, went out about three miles and met the member elect. At procession was : formed and proceeded into the township, the band playing en route. Mr Rhodes was presented with a bouquet, and the pathway leading to his residence was strewn with flowtrs by lady supporters. He was driven 1 to the Bank corner where Mr T. U. Tanner, chairman of the central committee, welcomed Mr Rhodes and congratulated him Ujpon a! clean victory. Mr Rhodes briefly thanked th<? electors for the splendid support accorded him.
