Suppose there were no children, No babies .in the land, No tcxldling, pattei'ing footsteps, | No little dinging hand. i ■ i No sweet eyes looking upward, lake flower petals' unfurled, No prattling, lispinsr voices, No l;i lighter in the world. Suppose there were no babies Drifting downwards from the skies M> toiling and no tending, No maternal lullabies;.
