During the past few, months, she said, he had travelled in this man' ncr to i&eter, Sheineld, Nottingham, Edinburgh, and many othtr tow us, whence ne had been sent back by the police, in response to telegrams from London. He was thus ofteu without food for many hours in consequence of these journeys, but neither this fact nor punishment seemed to deter him. At the ond of September he secreted himself m. a train, which was almost immediately backed into a siding. He was found and looked in a waiting-room, but by some means got out and journeyed to Glasgow. He had been tak^n out of express trains during the same week. The magistrate said the boy seemed possessed of an extraordinary mania, and sent him to a remand home for a week.
