BUSH FIRES. —r-f (Per United Press Association.) GISBOiRNE, Decembw- l. \ Bush iires have occurred in ■ the Wharerata district. A number of settlers were up all night fighting the flames, which ■ were carried rapidly over the country by the high wind No homesteads were lost, but, a good ideal of .fencing was destroyed, alsi sheepyards.
