He was received with hearty cheers. Mr Taylor thankea the memhers of committee for their valuable work, his supporters for their co-operation, aadeiaidi thiat he hoped the confidence T&placed in.-hiKi would be fully justified. He would zealously endeavour to work for the hetsb interest*" of the Thames electorate, jaiid^ he hoped that his work a? their representative in thei future would be for the welfare of all They had reposed in him a trust aiid he could' assure them that he would dio all that was possible, to justify their confidence and. the honor they had conferred' on him by returuing him; a% the top of the poll.
