TAIRUA GOLDEN HILLS.

Tfce annual - mieeting of shareholders in the Tairua Golden Hills mine was held at the office of the secretary (Mr Wm. Gray) yesterday, Mv John Kneebone (chuirmian of directors) presided. Such, large quantities of payable ore having been disclosed, the directors decided in October last that an up-tc-dlate plant should, be erected without delay, and for this purpose 50,000 shares were ..offered to the shareholders at a praniiiuni of 4s each, and wore practically all taken up. The plant being erected I consisted of 10 head of 11001b stampers, tuioe mills, and cyanide plant, the power bei^g suction gas.. Thiei gas plant had to be ordered from England, amd had now .been landed ai Auckland;: Contracts for the other portions of the work had been let, and were now well in hand, and tho directors; confidently •expected to be crushing by June Jiest. 1 .' ; The 'balance sheet, which was also adrapted, showed, a, easihi credit of «£4'l2 3s "Yd. - Messrs E. A. Oswald and John Dawson were elected directors, andi Mr L. G. Mtarray wa® imppointed auditor.
