The Tramway Difficulty.
ACTION BY CITY COUNCIL. AUCKLAND, July 19. The.Citty Council dealt with the overcrowding of toamways last ni^it. It was decided to notify the Tram Company to provide eight additional oars (before the end of the year, also one new car every month-next year, and to increase the power. It was, however, agreed to amend th« byelaws to allow a greater number of passengers to ibe carried on each car, it being left, to Mie city engineer to decide how many, strap- hangers the cars can conveniently carry.
