Mrs Willis' box, in charge of tw> detectives, was produced before tho Lands Commission after strong protests by Mrs Willis and her solicitor against private papers being overhauled.

I* wa« opened before the Commission and found to contain a quantity of jewellery and plate and a number of documents. The box, with jewellery And plate, was handed back to Mrs Willis,

The Commissioner impounded the documents, and will prvvately peruse them.

The much expected books relating to Mrs Willis' business, were not found.

MoNair and Hoskin~, examined,, stated they were unable to throw any light on the disappearance of the books, though the accountant in the safe deposit deposed that the box was much lighter after they and MVs Willis had it open jast before Willis left Sydrey. Willis' box was subsequently brought, from tha safe deposit. It contained, only heirlooms in the shape of a sovereign aid brooch. , There was considerable excitenieri+ in Court while the opening was proceeding. _______.__„_
