Ready, president of the Ministers' Association, was in t,ho chair. He explained that the Ministers' Association was in thorough .sympathy with the objects of the aneoting, being utterly opposed to 1 limiting any 'Compromise in the matter of running Sunday trams 1 consequent on. the stopping of the service during the tkne of church service. The opinion/ was freely expressed that if the workers looked <at the matter in the right way they would recognise that any invasion of the day of rest was a. step in tho direction of all havrin<i to work on Simdiays. A .eWMnittee was sent uip for the purpose of drafting, ai circular to be i issued to every voter prim- to the poll, setting "forth tihe reasons why trams , should not 'rum on Sundays. It was also* deoidedl to hold two mass meetings prior .to the poll.
