c Arran.gem.euts are now being made for the issue of the second war decoration, ov King's Medal. The ribbon will be green, yellow,, and white. The new decoration will be given only to officers, warrant and. non-commis-sioned officers, and men. -who were in South, Africa on* January let, 1902, and !hiad on that date or any latter date during tbe progress of the war completed eighteen months' service in I the field. By these restrictions Lord Roberts, Sir Redvers Buller, Sir Geo. , White, Sir A. Hunter, and many other distinguished commanders, the City : Imperial 'Vlollunlteeirs, 't|hej . .original ■ Imperial Yeomanry, and many of the ' soldiers who fought in the great battles and sieges of the earlier days will ■ not participate in the issue. The 1 medal will have two bars, '1899-1900' ' and '1901-1902,' and soldiers" who have served throughout the war will receive both.
