Presentation to Mr Hammond.

At the general meeting of footballers held on Wednesday evening, the Chairman, of the Rugby Union (Mr T. Aitken) took the opportunity of presending the Secretary (Mr W. Hammond) 1 with a very handsome travelling case with suitably engraved sil ver plate, as a token of the esteem and respect in which he is held by fottballers generally, and as a slight acknowledgment of the valuable services rendered by him, -a® Seoretaiy of the Union, for some yeairs past.
