The Premier in reply to the Hon., Mr Barton contends that the' Post Office was handed over to the Federal authority for general convenience, not for curtailing the control of local affairs, even though such a curtailment should be uniform throughout all the State Further that ;the Federal Parliament cannot directly or indirectl deal with any matters outside those submitted to it.
