Representatives from Waihi, ■ Karangahake, Coromandel, 4nd Wai'cekauri' were present. The ■^meeting or. conference commenced at '2 p.m. and did not conclude until 5 o'clock, so that the decision of the Court must have been freely and fully discussed by the members of theExr ecutiye Mr W. H. Lucas, one of the members of the Executive, arid a member of the Conciliation Court, was absent. , After discussion it was decided to hold a special meeting of the Thames Miners' Union on the 29th inst (next Saturday) to further discuss the finding and to arrange for a ballot to be taken on the question, the whole cf the members of the Union being entitled to vote. It Was ': deemed advisable to throw the onus of accepting or declining the Court's award on, the miners. Some > members of the Executive were of opinion that cue decision should be accepted; others - held to the contrary, and as stated it was eventually decided to leave the matter entirely in the hands of the miners to decide this important question. ;». Should the voting be against the acceptance of the Court's finding the whole case will' be submitted to the Arbitration Court, the decision of which body is binding. At the sitting of the Arbitration Court solicitors are permitted to appear for the parties interested in the dispute.
