Warren, Kitchener's Horse, wounded &i Rhenoster Kop; Theo Casey (AucklandTfirst) and J. Townsend (Dunedin) wounded at Tiger Poort, near Pretoria ; Farrier-Sergt. Wilkinson (Auck land), fourth, debility; A. G. Bakerfourth; F. Bhd,' third; M. Crean. fourth,; L. Home, second; A. H. Bodmin, fifth; Corporal G, E. Derrett, Hough Ridu-g; 11, H, Reeves, fifth; Iniperiul Bushmen, R. W. Barn", Kaffrarian Rifles ; E. C. Evans, third , Farrier Spain, fourth; W. Gibson, fourth; G. E. Murrayj Brabant'j Horse; R. J. Brown, second, wounded al Rhonoster Kop; J. A. Borluse, sco ond, wounded at Rhonster Kop; W. Moyle, second, wounded at Rhonestcr Kop; A. Dickson, fifth; J. R. Jensen, Brabant's Horse Corporal H. Thomson and J. H. Liggings, both of fifth: Privates Anderson and Bake* were wounded in action in the hip. Brown bears a nasty shell wound in the thigh, and Anderson was hit by a ball in the leg, Borlase in the arm and Bodmin on the back of the hand. The Premier received advice this morning from Capetown to the effect that members of the second and third contingents to the number of #00 will leave Capetown for Wellington by the Tongariro to-morrow. The following members of the earlier contingents have decided to remain and servo with the sixth in South Africa: — Harper, G. Watkin, De Carteris, Haw thorne, Hislop, and Merine.
LORD KITCHENER'S OPINION. The Premier last evening received the following cablegram :— " Please accept and convey to the people of New Zealand my warm thanks for the splendid contingent under Colonel Banks that has arrived hers, and which has now taken the field. We regret losing the men who have served with us during the past^ear . Ihey have invariably displayed the utmost courage and devotion, and I congratu» lats New Zealand on haying been represented by so magnificent a body j lof officers and men Whenever they have- been engaged New Zealanders have always distinguished themselves. —Signed, Kitchener "
