Indecent Assault
THE JUDGE'S OPINION,
(Per Press Association.)
WANGANUI, February 26,
Tho afternoon session of the Supreme Court was occupied with the hearing of a charge of indecent assault against Pat. rick 'Lealy. The evidence showed that the man being aware that the woman's, hus. band was away from home obtained admission to the house and made improper overtures. The jury found accused guilty and he was sentenced to ■ two years' imprisonment. Judge Edwards, in, sentencing the prisoner said it was his duty to protect decent women in •■ their houses from wild beasts, whether two footed or" otherwise i>)id stated!hisiintention of being tho lash in future.'
