NEW ZEALANDER ARRESTED.
SYDNEY, February 25.
A- micldle aged man named Walter Waugh has been; remanded for eight days on a charge oi having a quantity of jewellery supposed to be stolen in his possession. Accused, who arrived by the Elingainflc, was arrested after getting ashore. He first stated that his name was Ward ' and afterwards, admitted that it was Wiiugh. He was lately in the employ of Noah Cohen*, of Auckland, as a commercial'traveller. The jewellery found in his possession is valued at over £200.
