BRISBANE, February 22.
The Stock Inspector reporting on the Maranoa district says the state of the country is beyond words to describe. No sign of feed, in large sections" only two or three horses left, and a few stock are kept alive feeding ■on, the scrub, fllie wholo country is a dusfc heap, and the outlook is most dismal. Ticks are. again becoming plentiful in the Brisbane., district.
