Calibre bopped off iri front as the barrier flew up, and as they dashed through the cutting was joined by Scotty, but as the d.stance'was reached the latter died away, and coming into the straight Calibre had no trouble in holding Fieid Battery safe,: and scored from him by two lengths. For the first circuit Miss Drury was in front, but as' the jump on the bill was taken - for the second time she came to grief, leaving Dingo in charge. Straybird took Ithe doub'e in front of the stand a couple of lengths to the good of Dingo, but as the hill was ascended for the last time Cannongate, Tarragon and Nor swest were in the lead; Cannongate came down the hill with- a lead of ten lengths from Nor'west, and' landing safely over the last fence .
