A FATAL ACCIDENT.
SYDNEY, January 1. Two accidents attended the procession, while entering Centennial Park, the horse of a -mounted trooper became unmanageable, and in it 3 attempt to avoid the crowd bounded into the air and landed on the chest of Inspector Bremner, a well known police officer, severely injuring his spine. Bremner succumbed during the night. The trooper was untossed. Two others were iknocked down and slight's* injured. Constable Sharpies; of Bathurst, was swept from a tram in Oxford street and had his skull fractured.
