KNOX AND DE WET. THE RIVAL LINES. BRITISH AT LADYBRAND.BOERS NORTHWARD. MANY FARMERS LOYAL.. LONDON, December 29. Major General Knox is holding the Ladybrand-Winburg line', and frustrated De Wet's attempt to break through southwards.
De Wet, with a large commando, is. holding the country between Ficksburg, Senekal and Winburg.
Very few respectable farmers -joined the Boers south of Thabanehu, and many imparted General Knox valuable inform, ation.
