'XMAS GREETINGS.

I (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, December 28. The Acting-Premier has received the following message from Lord Roberts, in reply to 'Xmas greetings from the Cabinet —"Please accept yourself, and convey my most sincere thanks to the people of New Zealand for your kind words and hearty good wishes. I am greatly touched and most grateful." The Cabinet had also cabled to Lord Kitchener, sending 'Xmas greetings from the Government and people of the colony to him and the men under his charge, particularly the New Zea landers, and wishing him good luck and speedy termination to his troubles. To this Lord Kitchener answers: "Many thanks for your good wishes. Will con. vey your message to the officers and men. The New Zealanders are of great assis tance.
