HOBART, December 28. A coble has been received from Mr Chamberlain that Lord Kitchener has paid a high tribute to the services of the Tasmanian contingents in South Africa, suggesting that they be kept up to the strength by drafts. He says that the Im penal Government greatly appreciate additional assistance anA will be prepared to provide 5s per day pay and equipment. Lord Kitchener especially asks the men to take horses. The Government is inviting applications for men willing to go to South Africa. i
