Waihi Notes.
(By Telegraph-^-Own Correapondent.) WAIHI, April 20. The Rev. Weatherall, the new Wesleyan minister, was welcomed here last night in jthe church. A very successful entertainment was held, the musical items consisting of duets, solos, etc. Gamea were '. also held. Gentlemen representing other denominations delivered 1 addresses; • ■'^Affairs herea re rather quiet. The weather-is very bad. ;It has been raining all the night) and during the day. . The brass band social came off on Wednesday. These entertainments are to be held fortnightly and are proving very enjoyable. The Valdarea circus and variety company opened under a large tent on Thursday evening.
