TWO GERMANS ARRESTED.
THE CANADIANS. ; • '. '•.' >y 't. LONDON, April 19. Two Germans at Capetown hired horses and disappeared. They were found a hundred miles inland in pos>-' sessionf of rifles! and 600 cordite cartridges. They were arrested and sentenced to at year's imprisonment. The Canadian Government has asked Lord Roberts to nominate six members of. the Canadian contingent in South Africa for Imperial army commissions.! Many army reservists. are desirous of settling in South Africa. An officers' cojmmittee has been formed to help the project.
