SIEGE OF WEPENER.

LONDON, April 18. Lord Roberts reports that on the 17th Wepener was still surrounded, but the Boer attack was half-hearted. Violent rains were delaying the march of the relief forces. Lord Roberts hopes that these columns will soon make their presence felt, Brigadier-General Brabant occupied Rouxville on the 15th, making | a number of important arrests. In his despatch re Wepener Lord Roberta states the Boers are anxious in regard to their communications 1. Major-General Rundle's division, via Reddersburg, and General Brabant's, with General Hunter's Brigade, supporting via Rouxville, are advancing to the relief of Wepener.
