MR. GREENSLADE AT KUAOTUNU.

KUAOTUJSiU, November 24. Mr H. J. Greenslade addressed iho electors of Kuaotunu in Ritchie's Hall last night, there being a crowdeu i audience, including a large number i. - j ladies. Mr Marshall occupied the chair. Mr Greenslade was most cordially received and was repeatedly applauded. At the close of the address a vote of thanks was proposed and an amendment of thanks and confidence Upon I a show of hands being taken the amendment was carried by a, large majority amidst loud and prolonged applause. The, meeting dispersed with three 1 ringing cheers for "Greenslade, the young New Zealander." Mr Greenslade left this afternoon for* Mercury Bay, Gumtown, and Whenuakite.
