Mr R. K. Jackson, who headed the poll at the recent Masterton Borough election, and was not allowed by the Mayor to make the usual declaration, the latter considering Mr Jackson not qualified for Councillor as he was only entered on the roll as a residential occmpant has discovered that he can make the declaration before any member of the Council, and accordingly did so, and gave .the Town Clerk notice to mo re that tbe Mayor committed a grosa breach of duty, his words and conduct being arbitary, no]ustifiable, and insulting, and calling on him for an apology, and if that ia refused that the Council censure him, —Wangauui Chronielr: Cheap Lamps for the winter under cost price at Hansen'n, Also several Bicycles cheap.—Advt,
