BIG PUMP.

Pumping operations at the Big Pump are still at a standstill as the result of the damage caused to the plant by the bunting of a County main at the rear of the building. An examination of the plant to-day showed that the damage was confined to two boilers and the flues. Mr Brokenshire intends to make an endeavor to resume pumping tosmorrow, using the two uninjured boilers for getting up steam with. Meanwhile the damage to the other two boilers will be repaired.
