It has transpired that Filips Junta ha organised a Hong Kong filibustering expedition. A French priest has been murdered in a riot at Hupei. France disclaims any idea of extension in the Yang-tse Valley, but merely takes steps to protect individuals from outrages by natives. London, December 22. The Admiralty authorities intend to convert Weiheiwai into a naval d^pot if a report of a favorable nature is presented by Mr Trend, the Naval Engineer who has been sent to inspect it.
