MR JAMES MILLS BEATS MR GAVIN.

Te Aroha, July 5. The Mayoral election eventuated today, and was very closely contested, Mr James Mills being elected by -the narrow margin of two votes over Mr Thomas Gavin. The term of office is only a short one, as another election is to be held in November.
