Fire on a P. and O. Steamer

London, July 1. I A fire seriously damaged the P. and 0. Company's steamer Ganges at Bombay. She was beached to prevent her sinking. The hull, however, is not injured.
Later. Later reports from Bombay with reference to the fire aboard the P. and 0. Company's steamer Ganges show that a strong wind was blowing at the time, and the vessel is practically destroyed.
