London, April 19. Wheat is very strong. Mark Lane shows Is to 2s advance on the week. A parcel by an Australian sailing vessel due in April sold for 38s, and a parcel by a steamer due in May sold for 38s 6d.
The ai rival of wool to date amounts to 312,500 bales, of which 12000 bales were forwarded direct to manufacturing centres,and 208,500 bales are avail* able for the next series.
Experts consider in the event of war wool will decline in price owing to decrease in American demands. Grain, frozen meats, especially beef, tanned meats, hides and leather will, on the other hand; show a hardening tendency.
