(From Our Own Com s^ondent), The annual meeting of the Turna Mutual Impiovement Society was held in the hall, Turua, on Thursday evening last at 7.30. There was a fair attendance and the President was in the chair. The following were electe i to fill the various offices for the enisuing twelve months; —President. L J. Bagnall; vice-President, H. N. Bagnail ; Secretary, J. Copeland ; Committe, Mesdames W. H. Bagnall, (hborne, ani Whitmall, Miss Bagnal'. j Messrs Hull, Morland, Edmonds, a d Hurfit. The following programme w-a then given: song by H. Biguall, " The Sleeping Camp"; Mr Hurfit, "The Old Rustic Bridge " Miss Vowlee, j '■ Close to the Threshold " ; M> Hull, i " Spanish Cavalier " ; the last item I being encored. '1 he meeting then i separated. The contractor for the new school h; v ;e, Mr C "W. Coldham, ha 3 made a start on the job, and intends to push on with it as quickly as he can during the fine weather, . - .
