',• • ■ (Per Press Association.) Dunedin, March 25. It was three o'clock before a start was made with the regatta, and even then the -water was rather lumpy. There was a large attendance, including Lord and Lady Ranfuriy. Twice during the day a postponement had to be made owing to the sea.- The championships were postponed until to-morrow morning. The following are the results :— Maiden Fouk (Clinkers). — Port Chalmers 1, Lyttelton 2 ; North End (Dunedin) 3. A splendid race, won by a couple of feet. Maiden Double Scull (Clinkers). — North End 1, Duoedin Amateurs 2. Railway Club (Invercargill) 3. Otago gave up. North End led all the way and won by a dozen lengths. Ota.oo Plate (Clinkers Pours). — Dunedin Amateurs J, Awarua 2, Port Chalmers 3. Queen's Drive and North End also started, but the latter gave up. The Amateurs won by a length after a good race. Juniok Doublß' SfctLLS.—-Oinkers, (Warewa) 1, Port Claliters 2, North End 3. Excellent race ; won by two feet, the same distance between second and third.
