Convicted of Theft.
Auckland, March 24
A man named Robert Casey was sentenced to two months' hard labor for the theft of a rug valued at 12s 6d. The Bench remarked that as many petty thefts of this kind were being committed lately, it was necessary to make an example of the offender.
