"Move On."
Auckland, March 25,
In spite of the recent prosecution, the police still have trouble at times with the racing fraternity who collect round the corner of Vulcan Lane when a race meeting is proceeding in some part of the colony. Yesterday Coastable Keenan told a man named Adam McKeown, who was standing on the footpath by the Lane, to " move on." This appears to have aroused Adam's ire, for when the oonstable cime along again McKeown pointed his finger at the man in blue and made use of some indecent language, for which he was promptly looked up. At the Police Court this morning he was convicted and sentenced to two months' hard labour.
