Death of Captain Thomas.
[BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPOND KNTj Coromandel, March 24. Information by mail has been received from Home announcing the death of Captain Jas. Thomas, who was once a well-known resident here. Mr Thomas was the first gentleman to introduce English capital into Coromandel, having successfully negotiated the flotation of the Kapanga mine. The present shaft was commenced 25 yeare ago under Captain Ihomas' supervision, a)nd sunk to a depth of 600 ft. He left for England in 1884, where he has resided ever since. He died in London from Bright's disease, aged 63 years
