Herr Bachoin, speaking on behalf ( of the Clerical pai*ty in the Reichstag, said it was the chief duty of the Chamber to grapple with domestic and social questions. The fleet was adequate for the presorvation of peace, and any attempt to erect a German hegemony in Europe would not be justified. The centenary of the birth of William the Great is being celebrated throughout Germany with great enthusiasm.
