I Hereby give r_otice that I intend to construct a water-race to divert and use water for mining purposes, commenc- '. ing at a point at a peg marked A on Clark's creek, Mercury Bay, half a mile from the junction of the said creek with the Kangihau stream, and terminating at a peg marked A about three chainH below the said junction. The length of such race is halt a mile or thereabouts, and its intended course is about easterly. Marked out on February sth, 1897. To be used in connection with the Rangihau No, 1 special claim. The mean depth of such race is lft 6in, and the mean breadth is 2ft Bin, and it is proposed to divert 10 Government heads of water. Cost of construction: .£2OO.
