Anniversary of the Unsectama Church in St. Georga's Hall this evening. Yesterday the Bank of New Zealand shipped to Auckland per p.s. Wakatere two boxes of gold containing 15340zs of the ralue of about £ 4200. The Te Aroha Bides seem to be taking a new letse cf life. The company is being reorganised, and in that connection Megan An«enne and Whitley have been elected lieutenants
Last nisfht a meeting 1 of the local branch of the V,Z. Educational Institute was held in the Kauaeranga Boys' School. A large proportion of the members were present and tho principal business was the consideration of a most excellent paper on " Composition and bow it should be taught " by Mr W. J. May, Headmaster of Parawai school. Kvery member took part m the discussion which followed the paper and the meeting accorded Mr May a most hearty vote of thanks.
