CYCLING AT NIGHT,
P. Newdick and N. G. Laurie pleaded guilty to riding bicycles at night without lamps, and were cautioned and discharged. The defence was that they intended to be home before night, but darkness over-took them.
MAINTENANCE OF A MOTHER. Ruth McCormick v. Frank McCorlnick.—This was a plaint for the enforcement of an order now standing against defendant for the payment of 10s per week towards the support of complainant (his mother). —Sergt. Gillies stated that the case had already been adjourned. Just before the last hearing defendant had forwarded £5 to his mother, and he (Sergt. Gillies) had asked for an adjournment in order to give defendant another chance. Since that da'© defendant had only remitted £!, but he would ask that the case bo further adjourned.—The further hearing was adjourned to April 22nd.
PROHIBITION ORDER, A prohibition order was issued against Wm. Black. REMAND. Frank Ashman was charged with attempted suicide, and on the application of Sergt. Gillies was remanded till Friday.
