Te Akoha, March 15
The annual meeting of the Te Aroha Jockey Club was held on Saturday on the new course, close on one thousand people being present. A sum of £907 was put through the totalisator. Every thing passed of satisfactorily. The following are the results :— Maipkx Race. —Atlanta 1, Retrench 2, Mangakawa 3. Dividend, £l 10s. Hurdle Race—The Saint 1, Discord 2, Hairy Legs 3. Dividend, £2 ss.
Tk Aroha Cup. — Retaliation 1, Mavourneeu 2, Castashore S. Dividend, £2 2s. Pony Race.—Winnie 1, Glenswillie 2, Retrench 3. Dividend, £1 ss. Misers' Pubse.—The Sharper 1, Dorothy 2, Yattenfeldt 3. Dividend, 19s. Hack Race.—Taihou 1, Syren 2, Janette 3. Dividend, £4 ss. Railway Plate.—The Sharper 1, Orena 2, Heart of Oak 3. Dividend, £1 Bs.
