lONA (Great Barrier.)
The large reef under operation in this mine, from which such excellent results have been obtained by assay, has been cut into for a distance of 40ft. |The last 4ft driven pasaed through a cement and conglomerate, with veins of silver ore running through it. There is no sign of the hangingwall as yet. If this lode maintains its splendid quality it will quite surpass anything yet met with on this section of our goldneld.
