NELSON.—March 12. A man named W. D. Goddern met with an accident at his claim, near Eocky river, in the Coll ing wood district, and it took his matcg eight hours to carry him to the nearest place a conveyance could reach.
DUNEDIN.—March 12. j James Lovell, an old resident, after i whom Lovell's Flat was called, died to-night, aged 87,, He was a native of Sussex.
