A Steamer Ashore.
Nelson, March 11
The steamer Torea, of Picton, went ashore in the Sound early this morning. The Wainui went to her assistance on her way from Picton to Nelson, and made fast and tried to tow her off for two hours in vain. The Torea is high up on the beach, but efforts "vill be made to launch her. No damage is apparent. Captain Fisk was in charge at the time.
