WAITEKAUEI COMPANY. Mr Purchas, superintendent of the Waitekauri Company's property at I Waitekauri, ha 3 severed his connection with this company and is about to assume the management of the Komata section, which is being taken up by a new company of English, investors. Mr W. Davey, the new general I manager of the Waitekauri Company, | has arrived from England and. will I take charge in a few days.
GEAND JUNCTION. i Mr Leonard Welstead, accompanied by Captain Eobson, mining engineer, paid a visit yesterday to the Grand Junction and Martha mines, Waihi. PEOSPECT (lutaotunu). The manager wired this morning: — |" Struck roof carrying gold in the eastern crosscut."
KAISEE. A return of a ton of ore from the Kaiser mine, treated at the Thames School of Mines, came to hand to-day. I The value per ton is £5 18s 3d. The treatment of a trial parcel at Frasor and Sons plant will not be completed till to-morrow evening. However, a bulk assay of this lot gave a value of £6 9s lOid per ton.
